Thanks for the feedback. Yes, with clumping clay litter you would need more than an inch and a half - we normally recommend about 3 inches. However, with this particular litter an inch and half will do the trick but you cat may like more to cover.

Your long hair crystal litter is the best odor control litter I've used, cannot detect any urine or feces smell at all. But I have to say that an inch and a half is not enough for our kitty to cover his feces, which is necessary for odor elimination. We have to use 3 inches, which gets expensive - a full bottle for the jumbo sized litter box, and 3/4 bottle for the regular sized box. And it does track, so I sweep regularly to keep from stepping on and breaking up the crystals. But we keep using it for the odor control - it is great.

    Dear Kathy:

The litter does absorb urine on contact so they would not be stepping in wet urine. Racking the litter around with a scoop just allows it to further absorb. This litter also grows no bacteria.

Yes, with two cats and one litter box you would probably have to change your box more than every 2 weeks.
it seems kind of gross to just rake around the litter that has urine in it. Aren't they then walking in pee? do you really recommend just raking it for two weeks? I am in an RV and I cannot have two litter boxes (tho I have two cats). so maybe dump it after 1 week? I have VERY precious cats, they use that litter box no matter what - I like the idea of your product but the walking in pee bothers me.
